22 Nov 2019: New beta version available for Unity 2018.4+ and Unity 2019+.

Important Note: The free ‘Substance in Unity’ asset by Allegorithmic (available for free in the asset store) is required to use this asset.
There are still limitations in the Substance in Unity asset. As Allegorithmics API improves features will be added to this asset.

Note, this asset is only 3MB in size =) Create unique random procedural planets in seconds during run-time. More than 100 properties control appearance of planets and the properties can be set using random seed and overridden for fully customized planets.

There are no traditional textures in this asset, all textures are 100% generated at run-time.

Texture resolution can be set to 4096×4096 (and all the way down to 16×16 pixels). The textures are blended within the GPU shader to achieve virtual resolutions equivalent to a spherical texture map of approx. 60000 x 60000 pixels for coastline fidelity.

Platform support: Computers (Win/Mac/Linux), PS4, Xbox One, Mobile (Android/iOS). WebGL is not supported.

Designed for Linear color space but can be used in Gamma color space.

Many properties can be changed in real-time. For example, override water / liquid level and have a planet go from being a fully covered water planet to a desert planet in real-time.

Includes planet blueprints with templates for planets such as Gas planets, Terrestrial (earth-like), Rock, Alien, Desert, Ice, Molten, and more.

Includes procedural planetary rings.

Import/export planets from/to JSON-strings that can be stored as text files, in scripts, or for example, in databases online (database service not included). Import/export planet settings in inspector or from scripts.

PDF Manual available prior to purchase.
